The position of Deputy Clerk III is highly visible to the Bedford County citizens and is responsible for providing experienced clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the Trustee's office and the departments and customers served. Job duties include receipting real and personal property taxes, answering telephones, and assisting with the State of Tennessee Tax Relief Program for Elderly, Disabled, and Disabled Veterans. In addition, the employee will oversee the Personal Property Billing, reports and correspondence. The employee must have computer experience and the ability to learn new software programs with minimal direction and possess accurate typing skills.
The Deputy Clerk III accepts tax and miscellaneous payments and must balance the cash drawer daily. This position reports directly to the Bedford County Trustee.
