The Bedford School District is seeking a full time School Psychologist to become a member of a highly skilled and dedicated assessment team made up of fellow school psychologists. This is an elementary school level position.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate must be able to administer psychological, intellectual, and academic evaluations to students identified with or suspected of having disabilities. These evaluations must result in comprehensive written reports and verbal presentations detailing outcomes and recommendations. The school psychologist serves as a collaborative member of the IEP team assisting with interpretation of independent evaluations, determinations of special education eligibility and recommendations for appropriate special education programming. Consultation with teachers and administrators regarding students with disabilities is also part of the role responsibilities. These evaluations must result in comprehensive written reports and verbal presentations detailing outcomes and recommendations during team meetings within specified special education timelines. The school psychologist serves as a collaborative member of IEP teams by assisting with interpretation of independent evaluations, determinations of special education eligibility and providing recommendations for appropriate special education programming. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good organization/time management skills, and knowledge of special education procedures are fundamental.
Qualifications:
Current NH Department of Education certification as School Psychologist.
