POSITION SUMMARY:
Inventory and Mail Clerk will maintain the inventories of office supplies, janitorial supplies, medical supplies, medical equipment and medicines. The Clerk receives, sorts, distributes and delivers mail and supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Receives, sorts and distribute mail to department and other sites.
- Processes and sends outgoing mail utilizing postal procedures and equipment.
- Receive deliveries of all office supplies, janitorial supplies, medical and dental supplies, medical equipment and medicines.
- Make sure these items are properly stocked in the stock room and properly accounted for before the stocking.
- Stock and inventory product on carts or within assigned areas and manages par levels. Check for compromised products and expired inventory. Ensure inventory items are counted, rotated and replenished daily and all procedures are followed.
- Receive inbound mails, materials and marks materials with identifying information; record amount of material received; sort materials and stock on racks, shelves or bins in accordance with predetermined sequence such as size, color, type, or product code. Arrange materials for order assembly. Reconcile deliveries and supplies against delivery invoices.
- Drives and delivers mail, supplies and stock to departments and other worksites
- Manage inventory and recommend elimination of excess stocks
- Prepare inventory reports to include incoming and outgoing supplies.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the supply area(s).
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing and light word processing, and maintains accurate records for the department.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or two (2) years relevant work experience preferred.
- Active NYS Driver’s License with less than 4 points Required
Other Related Skills/Experience and requirements:
- Able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory computer software.
- Clerical skills and knowledge in bookkeeping a plus.
- Good math skills and Acute attention to detail. Knowledgeable of MS Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills must demonstrate professionalism, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with employees and vendors
