About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Technician Worker to support our Asset Management Department in maintaining and ensuring the functionality of RDC Commercial office spaces. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with members across the different sub departments of the Asset Management Unit. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate with others to maintain the office spaces in top condition.
Maintain safety conditions and standards across all facilities to ensure a secure and hazard-free environment (OSHA requirements).

Perform routine checks of all buildings, ensuring all doors, windows, and entry points are locked and properly secured.

Conduct vertical patrols within the buildings and document any abnormalities or issues. Report significant concerns to management as necessary.

Respond promptly to the “
Off Hours
” contact intercom system, acknowledge requests, and provide solutions or escalate issues as needed. -
Collaborate with other maintenance and light construction staff on in-house repair projects. Follow proper safety and handling procedures for chemicals, cleaning agents, and power tools/equipment.

Replace ceiling tiles, repair light fixtures, and replace bulbs as needed to maintain the functionality of the facility.

Perform basic plumbing repairs, including clearing drains, and replacing broken locks or hardware as needed.

Maintain accurate records related to building heating, cooling, and other essential systems.

Survey and monitor the HVAC system, following established guidelines.
Identify non-operational roof HVAC units and report to supervisors for resolution.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment and minimize downtime.

Lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment as required for tasks.

Work independently to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Utilize power tools and equipment, with guidance from a supervisor, to complete tasks.

Demonstrate strong teamwork by collaborating effectively with colleagues on projects.

Ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and standards, including working at heights, operating power tools, and performing basic roof repairs.

Assist with drilling and installing cable lines as required for tenant services.

Perform minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Trade Diploma or High School Diploma.

7 years of experience in the maintenance or light construction field.

Any applicable trade certifications preferred.
