Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care to patients.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix for record management.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff..
- Ability to perform dental imaging procedures accurately.
- Strong adherence to infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
