Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
- Observe and report on resident mood, behavior, and participation to ensure programs align with their well-being.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and the care team to develop personalized recreation plans.
- Conduct interviews with residents and families to understand their preferences and goals.
- Support resident assessments and contribute to discharge planning.
- Supervise and participate in community outings and facility events.
- Ensure activity areas are set up, cleaned, and equipment is in good condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and program participation.
- A compassionate and energetic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and lift between 5-45 pounds as needed.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar setting (1 year preferred).
- Must meet general health requirements as defined by the facility, including any necessary medical exams.
