Job Responsibilities:
- Scrub floors to remove soil and old finishes, leaving them clean and polished.
- Remove splash marks from baseboards, walls, and doors.
- Strip, refinish, and maintain floor surfaces to achieve a glossy, deep shine as directed by management.
- Extract and bonnet carpets to maintain cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to emergency spill cleanups and other housekeeping needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and report repair needs for equipment, furniture, and building fixtures.
- Ensure the main housekeeping storage area is clean and organized.
- Perform wall washing tasks and non-routine furniture moving as assigned.
- Assist during fire drills or emergencies by transporting residents or directing traffic.
- Cross-train in housekeeping and laundry to provide support when needed.
- Evening shifts: Prepare resident rooms for discharges or admissions and pull trash twice per shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Experience: At least 1 year of maintenance experience in an institutional setting is preferred.
- Must be free from illegal drug use and the effects of drug or alcohol use in the workplace.
- Individuals with a history of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment in a healthcare setting are ineligible for this position.
