A Few Details About the Role:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Indigo Manor, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Directing nursing services to all residents in your assigned neighborhood or program, ensuring comprehensive care and attention.
- Providing hands-on/on-the-job training to newly hired team members and offering skill set retraining as needed to maintain high standards of care.
- Overseeing physician orders, verifying all orders are accurately transcribed into the electronic record system and treatment plans, administering medications, and providing treatments according to orders.
- Supervising and leading both clinical and non-clinical team members, providing guidance, support, and discipline as necessary.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate, and evaluate resident care to ensure the highest level of well-being.
- Documenting resident conditions and nursing needs accurately and promptly, reporting important observations and reactions in a timely manner.
- Executing treatments as necessary, documenting the status, and observing reactions to medications and treatments to ensure effectiveness and safety.
- Coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth and seamless process while providing quality customer service.
- Planning resident admissions as ordered by the physician, conducting assessments, verifying orders with the physician, and notifying pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments as required.
- Providing accurate and thorough shift reports to ensure continuity of care, enabling the on-coming shift to continue providing excellent care.
Here’s What You Need to Apply:
- Certifications and Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing, along with any other licensure required by state regulations.
- One year of nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred, but not required.
