What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Bedrock, Inc?
Bedrock, Inc. is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator. We are a Vallejo-based engineering firm specializing in developing tools for site work, grading, paving and underground utilities for large general contractors. We are looking for an experienced operator to join our team and operate heavy machinery in an engineering setting. This is a Contract position with the opportunity to go permanent.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Operate Dozers, Excavators, Compactors, Rollers, Track loaders, and Water trucks
-Conduct safety/tailgate meetings and enforce all safety regulations on jobsite
-Help wherever it is needed
-Ability to read plans and staking
-Thoroughly & correctly fill out a timecard/daily report to be handed in each day
Qualified Candidate must have:
-5 years of Heavy Equipment Operating experience
-Able to safely demonstrate the proper skill and knowledge of operating heavy equipment
-Basic Knowledge of stripping, demolition and excavation for all site work activities
-A thorough understanding of the construction trade
-Be able to communicate effectively and problem solve with management, vendors and general contractors
-Be able to work in a team environment or autonomously
Requirements:
-Valid Driver's License with a clean DMV record (Provide current DMV printout at interview)
-Must have reliable transportation
-Legal status to work in AZ
-Ability to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test
-Must speak fluent English (Bilingual a plus)
