What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Personal Assistant position at Bedside Home Care Services?
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health and a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for your clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Support clients with memory care needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate client care records and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient monitoring techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with memory care practices and dementia care is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs is a plus.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
