Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining cleanliness across our office spaces and facilities, ensuring that our work environment orderly and safe. This includes cleaning offices, retail storefront, employee breakrooms, weigh stations, storage areas, and outdoor areas.

• Prior experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this job, including standing or walking for the entire shift. Must also be able to exert physical effort in handling (lifting, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.) objects of unique shape and size, weighing up to 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout entire shift, and weighing more than 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable and punctual, able to take initiative and responsibly preform required tasks with limited supervision.

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, break rooms, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas in accordance with company specifications.
• Manage daily schedule to ensure required rest period breaks and lunch breaks are taken on time and in accordance with California labor laws.
• Performs cleaning of properties to ensure clean and safe presentation & environment.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash cans and/or recycle bins daily (sorting recycling bins as needed).
• Dust and/or clean surfaces.
• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Clean windows, partitions, and mirrors.
• Perform weeding and general maintenance of landscaping.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, etc.
• Perform routine heavy cleaning.
• General maintenance and cleaning of common areas, break rooms, and kitchen areas.
• Preform light maintenance as needed, such as changing lightbulbs, repair leaky plumbing fixtures and faucets, repair floors & walls. Painting as needed.
• Clean graffiti, deal with abandoned materials, damage to property, or other items needing attention on company property.
• Sweep and dispose of trash or debris to maintain tidy appearance in public areas.
• Report the need for any major repairs beyond your skill level
• Report any unsafe conditions, accidents or near misses immediately to supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of any supplies or other materials that need to be replenished.
• Work in a safe, professional manner (which includes following all stated company policies and following all “common sense” precautions) to safeguard the health of yourself, coworkers, customers, vendors, and to prevent damage to equipment, goods, property, and the environment.
• Preform other duties as assigned by manager.
