We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our maintenance team and contribute to projects that drive operational excellence. As a Maintenance Operations Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while shadowing a full-time maintenance mechanic or technician. Your responsibilities will include assisting with troubleshooting and repairing issues with machinery, reading and understanding equipment user manuals, filling out work orders, and performing preventative maintenance tasks. You will also be responsible for conducting daily inspections of production equipment and diagnosing potential issues when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess basic electrical control circuits knowledge, PLC applications understanding, and electrical schematic diagram comprehension. Additionally, you should be proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and computer-based systems. Familiarity with grease, oils, and ability to adjust and calibrate equipment is also essential. Basic fabrication skills are a plus.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to quickly move your hands, arms, or grasp to manipulate or assemble objects. You must also be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations. Adhering to process protocols and completing tasks in a noisy environment are critical aspects of this role. Regular climbing, lifting, bending, and stooping are also required, as well as the ability to move or lift 20 pounds or more.
