Position Overview:
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Canvassing Team Lead will oversee the team's day-to-day operations. This role focuses on driving the success of our canvassing efforts through goal monitoring, performance improvement, and the implementation of best practices to escalate conversion rates. The ideal candidate will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on canvassing activities to meet and exceed company targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management (30%)
- Lead and oversee the Canvassing team, providing guidance and motivation to achieve goals.
- Monitor team achievements, provide constructive feedback, and implement coaching as needed.
- Establish and continuously refine best practices to enhance canvassing strategies.
- Develop and execute creative contests and incentive programs to exceed performance goals.
- Set measurable goals and track team progress to ensure consistent improvement.
Accountability & Performance Metrics (10%)
- Define and monitor key canvassing metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Dedicate weekly time to canvassing observation to identify ongoing training opportunities.
Training & Development (10%)
- Collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager to recruit, onboard, and train new Canvassers.
- Identify training gaps and develop tailored plans to enhance team skills.
- Send weekly sales training insights and motivation reminders to the team.
Personal Canvassing Responsibilities (50%)
- Dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week to direct canvassing efforts.
- Meet or exceed the required number of qualified leads per month to be eligible for commission pay.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in canvassing, direct sales, or a related field, with leadership experience preferred.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to be both decisive and diplomatic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve and exceed goals.
