Overview
Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Assessments of patients are accurate, consistently performed, and completed efficiently.
- Accurate documentation of continuum of care.
- Consistently demonstrates safe and accurate technical skills.
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of all procedures routinely performed in the office.
- Routinely demonstrates proper technique in operating all office / medical equipment.
- Triaging of patients is accurate and complies with instructions rendered by the provider.
- Demonstrates competency in providing quality patient care.
- Accurately follows provider directions.
- Handles all specimens using proper technique.
- Correctly labels and processes specimens.
- Ensures proper preparation of specimens for lab courier transfer to Lab.
- Conscious of biohazard safety as it relates to the job; manual delivery of specimens to lab, changing of gloves between patients.
- Routinely performs all nursing duties using appropriate PPE and in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Performs all job duties within the scope of practice and the organization's policies / procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1-year L.P.N. / R.N. experience, preferably in a doctor's office.
