Summary:
Responsible to the Distribution Supervisor for receiving, inspecting, verifying, controlling, and delivering items and materials (for example: Mail, Supplies, medications, specimens, reports, x-rays, etc.) to Beebe Medical Center satellite locations and physician offices within Beebe Medical Center and related Family Health Centers.

Picks up and delivers hospital mail, supplies, medications, specimens, reports, x-rays, etc. to locations in a timely manner. The approved weight limit for the specific individual will be adhered to. Accurately sorts mail, supplies, medications, specimens, reports, x-rays, etc. in a timely manner for delivery to locations within Beebe Medical Center, Beebe Physician Network, related satellites and affiliates. Handles STAT emergency deliveries in a timely manner. Determines workflow priorities so that the deliveries are not interrupted; utilizes scheduled work time appropriately. Responsible for physician mail delivery - sequesters mail at the mailroom and sorts to the physicians file in the Mailroom for delivery. Maintains a neat, clean work environment. Assures that work is accomplished in a safe and technically correct manner consistent with departmental and medical center policies and procedures. Maintains equipment used for deliveries. Assists with equipment maintenance and safety by reporting malfunctioning equipment, keeping equipment clean, and in good working order. Maintains availability to Supervisor via cell phone. Responds to all pages within15 minutes.
