The Volunteer Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting Beebe Healthcare's active and growing volunteer program. This multi-faceted role is a unique opportunity to work directly with Beebe's diverse volunteer core of over 400 people, as well as all Departments that they serve.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Onboarding Process
- Recruitment - Field questions from prospective volunteers about the process and requirements; Assist in staffing select recruitment events.
- Onboarding - Coordinate and track the onboarding process for all new volunteers ensuring that they complete all mandatory requirements before orientation.
Volunteer Placement & Schedules
- Assist in matching volunteers with appropriate roles based on their skills, preferences, and the system's needs.
- Assist in the coordination of volunteer training.
- Document volunteer schedule changes in the volunteer database.
- Notify Department contacts of any volunteer changes in their departments.
Database Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date volunteer database including contact information, availability, and skills.
- Generate schedules and reports, as needed.
Support Student Volunteer Programs
- Field and triage inquiries from students interested in volunteering.
- Coordinate and maintain student volunteer programs including guidelines, onboarding processes, etc.
- Work with the Volunteer Services Manager to develop student volunteer events and programming.
Volunteer Support
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Support volunteers in completing their annual compliance training.
- Assistance in implementing recognition programs to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of volunteers.
- Assist in the investigation and address any concerns, conflicts, or challenges that may arise during the volunteer engagement.
Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and volunteer management software
Experience & Education Required
- High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in volunteer management, administrative work, human resources or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of, or previous experience in, healthcare a plus
