Site Lead-Urine Specimen Collector/Lab Tech Job Description

We have full-time Site Lead for Observed Urine Specimen Collectors/Lab Techs position for both male and female employees open in Ogden/Weber County, UT. Workdays and hours are as follows: Monday through Friday, hours are 10:00 am – 6:30 pm. This position is considered a field position performing the duties of on-site urine specimen collector. The position is also responsible for acting as a liaison between clients, patients and the Draper based Laboratory. $16-18 per hour.
Requirements:
- Lead and delegate daily tasks to the team.
- Communicate as needed with area representative, program managers, clinicians/therapists, and case workers for testing purposes and issues that arise.
- Have regular meetings and report to the VP of Client Services to keep them up to date on everything going on at the center and with the team.
- Complete daily testing and requisitions
- Make sure you and the team complete all daily tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
- Perform observed laboratory specimen collection on all patient age groups.
- Ensure specimen workflow from a logistics standpoint that meets the needs of the company.
- Manage supplies and inventory for assigned account/location.
- Provide excellent customer service to your assigned account while maintaining focus on the needs and expectations of the company.
- Ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained while showing independent judgment and good reasoning ability.
- Effectively work with internal departments to resolve issues. Must have interpersonal skills to gain cooperation with other departments and foster continuous improvements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other information summarizing work activities.
- Coordinate and work closely with client services and laboratory staff to troubleshoot, and improve specimen collection processes, or any issues.
- Ensure all processing documentation is complete and reviewed as required.
- Interface with assigned account and internal departments to ensure timely resolution of Missing Information (MI) and Error Processing (EP) issues.
- Must ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including HIPPA, as well as adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel locally.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Educational Requirement
- Must be able to pass a Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) background check
- Must be at least 21 or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Specimen collector experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems experience preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills
