Beechwood Homes is looking for an Activities Supervisor!
Hours: Full Time, varied shifts
*Must be able to work weekends!
*Starting at $20/hr
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Activities, assist in planning and carrying out a program of recreation/activities and enrichment for the residents of the facility to effect improvement in their physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
Job Duties:
- Provide residents with the opportunity to fulfill their needs in the social, psychological , intellectual, physical, spiritual and leisure areas for the enhancement of dignity, self-respect and self- reliance.
- Initiate and promote participation within the facility and outside in the community.
- Responsible for safety of residents under his/her supervision.
- Schedule movies/various programs, and obtain the necessary supplies and/or equipment in advance.
- Evaluate residents' interests- develop activity care plans to reflect resident preferences.
- Supervises Activity Leaders, Activity Aides, and Volunteers as necessary.
- Schedules movies/various programs, and obtains the necessary supplies and/or equipment in advance.
- Evaluate Residents' interests. Establish goals with Resident input. Develop activity care plans to reflect resident preferences and customary routines, and complete appropriate documentation.
- Maintain a record of Residents' recreation attendance. Evaluate Residents' participation during recreation. Write progress notes and chart them in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Attend Care Plan meetings.
- Assists in development and preparation of a monthly calendar of events in advance of the next month, to finalize with the Director of Activities/Volunteers.
- Transports Resident to and from Recreation programs.
- Maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent facility, staff and resident care information
Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills with Windows operating systems and Apple systems.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
Hours: Full Time, 30 hours a week, varied shifts
