Our veterinary clinic has been serving the pet community of Racine and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. We pride ourselves on being your friendly neighborhood vet, where a warm welcome is always there to greet clients.

Position Purpose

We are on the lookout for an experienced veterinarian to bring their knowledge and passion to our pet-loving community. Our bustling practice is led by our wonderful managing DVM, who has built a strong support team to provide top-notch care to our multi-generational clientele.

We are a team that works hard and plays hard, with the same goal of completing our responsibilities and daily tasks in a timely manner. Additionally, we are encouraged to “unplug” after each shift and take time for ourselves and our families.

About the area: Also known as Belle City, Racine truly embodies the beauty of the Midwest. It may have a small-town feel, but it is bustling with activity. Being located along the shores of Lake Michigan AND having Root River winding through the city, fishing, hiking, and kayaking are easy to find for the outdoor enthusiast. Racine is also known for its large festivals (Independence Day), eclectic cuisine (You must try the Kringle!), and art galleries (the largest contemporary collection in America).

Essential Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.

• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
