Beef Northwest Feeders (BNW) is a family owned, and operated business based in Eastern Oregon. Our main business is feeding and finishing cattle. BNW has multiple locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, and a one-time capacity for 130,000 hd of cattle on feed at any given time. We also own and operate a trucking company Northwest Beef Express, that hauls commodities and cattle throughout the region. We operate in an efficient, and professional manner and pride ourselves on always doing what is best for the cattle and people. BNW/NBX offer careers ranging from outside operations of cowboys, mechanics, cattle health, equipment operations to inside reception, clerical, accounting, and financial management.
The Administrative Office Specialist position is designed to bring additional strength into Beef Northwest Administrative Team. Everything that happens outside on our yards and with our trucks needs to be measured, tracked, and input into the proper accounting software to be accurately billed and managed. The administrative team oversees all aspects of the office from trucking scales, samples, customer service, clerical work, budgets, inventory, and day to day office administration AP/AR and vendor management.
Job Duties, including but not limited to:
- Cattle feed yard management: daily record keeping, tracking of animals, animal health and medication.
- Accounts Receivable and Notes Receivable.
- Accounts Payable.
- Cattle feeding, ration management, and feed sales.
- Inventory counting and month end reconciliation
- Customer relationships, reporting and feed yard services
- Quality assurance standards, management, and controls
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualification:
- Experience in record keeping, and/or accounting and administration.
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or Accounting or prior work experience equivalent.
- Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to analyze data and interpret reports.
