Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Design and implement seasonal, innovative menus reflecting Italian cuisine.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficiency, and maintain high standards.
- Food Quality & Presentation: Maintain consistency in preparation, taste, and plating.
- Cost & Inventory Control: Manage purchasing, supplier relations, and food costs.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and foster a positive work culture among kitchen staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Financial Management: Track and optimize profit & loss (P&L), labor costs, and overall expenses.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
- Strong Italian culinary expertise, with a preference for Northern Italian cuisine.
- Proficient in menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety regulations.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Italian) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
