Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist to work in our Administration Office in Rexburg, ID. This position will work 40 hours, Monday-Friday. The expected pay is $26.43 per hour, DOE.
Job Description
- Assists in managing people operations for the credit union. Supports the employee life cycle by handling and advising on employee recruiting, onboarding, development, performance, retention, termination, and offboarding.
- Assists in overseeing the credit union's non-wage benefits. These efforts involve administering insurance benefits, administering retirement plans, and handling requests for leaves of absence.
- Assists in overseeing the credit union's wages & compensation. These efforts involve payroll processing, inspection of time cards, and processing wage-related paperwork.
- Handles administration of employees and employee systems. Prepares employee tracking reports including headcount & turnover. Maintains HR systems including the HRIS, ATS, and personnel files.
- Supports the HR Director in reviewing and implementing policy changes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and HR regulations.
- Processes requests for verifications of employment.
- Will actively engage in needs-based selling.
Qualifications
- Required: Two years HR experience.
- Preferred: Three to five years of similar or related experience preferred.
- Preferred: A two-year college degree or greater.
- Good computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
- Knowledge of employment laws such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws required.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to arising problems is also required.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as work will involve motivating or influencing employees.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
