We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a retirement home setting. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized support and assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of residents.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed, following proper protocols for medication administration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
- Engage residents in social activities and programs that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being.
- Assist with mobility needs, ensuring safe transfers and movement within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident living areas and common spaces.
- Respond promptly to resident requests or emergencies, utilizing first aid skills when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, home community care, or long-term care preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices is a plus.
- Basic understanding of medication administration protocols.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with residents on a personal level.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care for seniors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $17.18 - $17.87 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
