Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients with dementia care and other special needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures as needed.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the medical office or care environment.
Experience
- Certification as a Medication Aide is required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic clinical procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
