Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home care or facility setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and monitoring health conditions.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the clients' quality of life.
- Monitor and document vital signs as necessary, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to assist with medication administration and understand basic medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.
