Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. Duties
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with daily living activities.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals while respecting resident rights and preferences.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or autism, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to address the needs of clients effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home community care or social work is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices (training provided)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for effective communication a plus.
- Understanding of resident rights within assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. (this is top priority)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Food handler's license will be required (provided)
