Private In-Home Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes or residential facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work or home health, with a strong understanding of dementia and memory care. This role requires a commitment to maintaining resident rights while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
• Help clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Support clients with memory care strategies tailored to their individual needs.
• Respect and uphold resident rights at all times, ensuring dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in social work, home health, or caregiving is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring is an asset.
• A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential.
• Must be able to follow instructions accurately and work independently as well as part of a team.
