Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aide to join our BeeHive team in providing exceptional care to residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while promoting their independence.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to the nursing staff.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques to ensure safety.
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following hygiene and safety protocols.
- Uphold resident rights by treating each individual with respect and dignity.
- Support residents with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques and activities tailored to their needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to create personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required to stay updated on best practices in caregiving.
Experience
- Must have current CPR/First Aide.
- Must have current 2-step TB test.
- Must have current food handler's permit.
- Must have valid fingerprint test.
- Previous experience in caregiving or working within an assisted living environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with home community care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for residents' needs effectively.
- Experience in dementia care is highly valued, along with an understanding of how to support individuals facing cognitive challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, PRN
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Required)
