Role Overview :
Beehive Industries is providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field, specifically in assisting in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge, small engines used in military applications. Interns will work on real-world problems, develop professional and technical skills, and build relationships with peers and leaders, preparing for potential full-time roles after graduation.
Responsibilities :
- Interns will get the opportunity to assist and shadow engineers involved in the execution, design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles, while meeting industry standards and program requirements
- You will be exposed to the creation of definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stackups, and electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, and assembly.
- You will participate in seeing how quality checks are used to eliminate interferences and to ensure interface requirements are met.
- You will gain experience in howdrawings and models are managed consistent with industry standards for configuration management.
- You will have the opportunity toget hands on with our testing and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies and parts on our engine rigs
- Learn how product design leads to product definition following standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Be debriefed on design reviews and hear from other disciplines in design, performance, controls, and system integration.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
- You will learn about the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design
