Beehive Industries is looking for you to join our Product Engineering team as the Program Engineering Manager. This position will report to the VP of Engineering and is a full-time onsite position. In this role, you will lead the overall program management efforts within engineering, assist with the development of new technologies, work with finance to set and manage budgets, forecast future department costs and investments required, support bids and proposals for future programs, and drive execution with existing contracts.

Role Overview

In this role, you will lead the overall program management efforts within engineering, assist with the development of new technologies, work with finance to set and manage budgets, forecast future department costs and investments required, support bids and proposals for future programs, and drive execution with existing contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead program management efforts within engineering to execute existing contracts, including how to develop new technology and proactively manage risk.
- Lead the creation of standards and processes within engineering for program management. Create and own the metrics to measure success for key deliverables, including leading and lagging indicators for each of the technical or program KPIs.
- Organize technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and contracts for future engine programs and science and technology programs as a partner with the Systems Engineering teams and Business Development teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team on product and engine architecture strategies, including future technology investments.
- Support assessing the impact to program related requirements such as product cost, schedule, performance, and budget when providing technical guidance or making decisions.
- Own the engineering budget, including funded efforts and creating proposals for future investments.
- Review and approve engineering documents and programmatic or technical information. Assure proper documentation of all information.
- Communicate important business and technical information to both internal and external stakeholders in a clear, organized, and concise manner.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing to resolve technical and quality challenges.
- Experience managing programs and leading people in dynamic environments while solving complex technical problems with new technology. Role will initially be an individual contributor but may grow into a people leadership role.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline from an accredited university or college
- At least 10 years of experience in jet engine design, analysis, test, and/or development
- At least 7 years of experience working on new products and technology development in the aerospace or aviation industries in a program management role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or other relevant certifications or formal training to supplement on the job experiences
- Background in aerospace engine systems; working knowledge of engine systems, turbomachinery, engine-vehicle integration, controls and electronics, and auxiliary systems such as pumps, actuators, and generators.
- Technical leadership skills. Ability to make decisions with limited information in changing environments.
- Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Experience working directly with customers
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
- Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
