What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Engineer, Turbine Module Specialist position at Beehive Industries?
Beehive Industries is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team in Loveland, Ohio or Englewood, Colorado.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas turbine component design, with a focus on high pressure turbine design and analysis. This individual will be responsible for executing the design, analysis, and evaluation of the high pressure turbine in an aviation gas turbine engine, using sound engineering principles and meeting industry standards and program requirements.
- Develop and implement high pressure turbine designs that meet or exceed industry standards and program requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that turbine module designs meet overall requirements and are aligned with company goals.
- Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective, setting test objectives and limits, instrumentation and test data requirements, and test planning to execute component validation.
- Serve as the component design subject matter expert as part of a diverse system design team, ensuring products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- At least 15 years of experience in gas turbine component design.
- Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, CFD, etc).
- Experience working with high pressure turbines for aviation product applications from a mechanical and aero design perspective.
- Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles.
