Cow/Calf Ranch Manager Position Available
Beelman Ag Service is in search of a reliable and dedicated Ranch Manager that is looking for a long-term position who can perform a large scope of operations of running a Cow/Calf Ranch at our facilities in Pinckneyville, IL and DuQuoin, IL .
Responsibilities:
· Perform all duties of day-to-day operations including herd health, nutrition and range management.
· All aspects of cattle including low stress handling.
· Infrastructure knowledge with fencing, corrals and building and repairing.
· Haying
· Field Maintenance including maintaining pastures and fields, mowing and weeding.
· Equipment Maintenance-inspect, repair and maintain farm equipment, machinery and buildings.
· Addition duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Experience working on a ranch
· Knowledge of agriculture science, handy work and animal care
· Ability to operate farm equipment and vehicles
· Ability to perform physical labor, including heavy lifting.
· Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
· Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
· Extensive knowledge in doctoring and herd health along with extensive knowledge of nutrition.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
