The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Assistant to join our team at Beeman Elementary School. The Behavior Assistant will work under the supervision of the building administrator and other educational professionals to support students with behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to students with behavioral challenges.
• Implement behavior intervention plans as developed by the educational professionals.
• Assist in the development of social skills, coping strategies, and other essential skills for students.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the educational professionals.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in training and professional development sessions as required.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior when appropriate.
The pay range is $22.30 - $26.76 based on education and experience. This position follows the school calendar.
