The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the company's information technology (IT) operations. Ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service while also overseeing the organization's IT strategy, the Director will develop and implement comprehensive policies, manage the IT and helpdesk teams, conduct risk assessments, respond to incidents, ensure compliance with regulations, and advocate for best practices across the company. This role will report to the COO.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Develop and manage the IT budget
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, analyze potential security threats, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize cyber risks.
- Ensure adherence to relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry standards, including data privacy laws and compliance audits.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Provide regular security updates and reports to senior management, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk assessments.
