We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a contract assignment with a client onsite in Cary, NC.
This role involves intermediate-level professional work related to the general ledger, as well as complex accounting and financial management functions.
The position requires meticulous attention to detail due to the potential consequences of error and involves significant independent judgment in decision-making. The Accountant will work under the general supervision of the Financial Reporting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Journal Entries & Spreadsheets : Prepare and manage complex journal entries and spreadsheets.
- Reconciliations & Reporting : Participate in various reconciliations, reports, and complex analyses. Maintain the general ledger fund and account structure. Assist in preparing interim reporting, including quarterly reports and related schedules, in collaboration with other staff.
- Data Analysis : Create complex charts and graphs to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- System Optimization : Optimize Oracle system usage by testing, reconciling, mapping, and reviewing reports.
- Other Duties : Perform other tasks as assigned to support accounting operations.
