Job Summary
We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer who is passionate about researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to various funding agencies, foundations, and organizations. As a Grant Writer, you will play a critical role in expanding our organization's revenue growth while also creating greater awareness of the essential services we provide, all in accordance with Begin Anew's core values, mission, and vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Write, edit, track, submit, and manage grant proposals and outcome reports
- Research and identify funding opportunities from various sources
- Collaborate with internal staff to obtain necessary information for proposals
- Maintain a calendar of deadlines for grant submissions and reporting
- Track and report on the status of submitted proposals
- Build and maintain relationships with funding organizations and stakeholders
- Manage CRM database
- Passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, a willingness to sign Begin Anew's Statement of Faith
- Ensure all grant applications meet funders' guidelines and requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (or Graduating in May)
Minimum Work Experience: 0-2 Years
- Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships
- Experience with Squarespace, Adobe Spark, Mailchimp, Donor Perfect, and/or Salesforce or other similar systems preferred
Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm, some flexibility with schedule due to office hours and hybrid of working from home, but averaging at least 40 hours per week for full time colleagues

In addition, the office will be closed from December 26th through December 31st to allow employees time off with their families. Holidays that fall on weekends may be observed the previous Friday or the following Monday.
Each full-time employee is given twenty-two (22) days of paid time off each year starting January 1. New hires will be granted prorated PTO based on their start date and recorded in their job offer.
