Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Director to lead our child care program. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and working closely with staff, parents, and the community to promote the well-being and development of our students.
Duties
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children and align with state regulations.
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing training and support to enhance their teaching skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss their children's progress and address any concerns.
- Manage daily operations including budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining facility standards.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Promote community engagement through events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Ensure compliance with Arkansas state licensing regulations, health, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement educational programs and activities that align with child development best practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise childcare staff, fostering a positive team culture.
- Manage enrollment, scheduling, and parent communication to maintain strong family engagement.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and staff certifications.
- Budget planning and financial oversight to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with school administration, community partners, and stakeholders to enhance program offerings.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Arkansas Child Care Director’s License or ability to obtain licensure.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of Arkansas childcare licensing requirements and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a supportive learning environment that encourages growth and development.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
