The animation skills are very much across both 3D & 2D. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of brand storytelling and how animation can be used to inform the very basis of a visual identity.
This requires a very ideas-focused approach with an experimental mindset. They would have the ability to understand how brand elements or brand attributes (and how the brand should behave) can be used in a dynamic way to tell their story. This will be a collaborative role, working closely with internal art directors and designers to help with the development and ideas process.
Job Summary
You are a talented and experienced 3D motion designer with a very strong creative side who understands brand identity design. You are passionate about creativity and have a brilliant conceptual mind paired with excellent technical 3D motion design skills. You understand how to bring a brand to life in a dynamic and creative way that stays faithful to the brand style guide, aligned to the clients' objectives, and appropriate for the clients' audience and market. You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary team at both CO5 & U3D on a variety of projects within the hospitality, food, manufacturing, and property sectors.
We have a strong brand strategy division within our group of companies, and we consider the addition of motion identity as essential in providing our clients with a more dynamic and innovative approach to brand design. The most common tasks are prototyping and execution of motion and 3D ideas, researching motion behaviours and graphic systems, creating motion graphics and UI animations, 3D abstract illustrations, photorealistic renders, and animations. This role is suitable for someone who is interested in creating new visual and motion languages as part of brand creation projects. The focus is on developing visual systems rather than 3D animation for promotion or marketing purposes. You believe in the power of people and teams, and you are an excellent communicator.
Essential Criteria :
- Confident in Cinema 4D, Redshift / Octane / Corona, After Effects or similar software packages
- Excellent 3D modelling, lighting, composition, texturing and animation skills for both hard-surface and organic modelling, specifically typography modelling and motion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for team collaboration and client interactions.
- Ability to work and collaborate with graphic designers, front-end / creative developers.
- Ability to embed conceptual thinking, motion principles and guidance into branding.
- A strong understanding of design principles.
- Experience in managing project streams independently and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, agile environment to meet project timelines.
