We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in functional lighting, electrical product design, or furniture design and be adept at translating business requirements into engaging and functional lighting systems.
As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our product offerings, ensuring they meet both user needs and business objectives.
We are willing to consider a new graduate from Industrial Design programs from well-known Design-driven University programs such as Parsons or similar universities. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of work experience along with a design portfolio.
Only US Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this role.
Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and design for manufacturability.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using tools such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Work with the Mechanical Engineering team to take the product from concept to release.
- Develop product designs with cost efficiency and manufacturability in mind.
- Have a good knowledge of electro-mechanical products.
- Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines while meeting business requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
