What are the responsibilities and job description for the Positive Behavior Support Specialist Contractor position at Behavior Associates LLC?
Seeking a part time contractor to provide positive behavior supports to those under the MPW and SCL waivers both in home and in clinic. Location would include Henderson and Owensboro.
Positive Behavior Supports are used when there is a need to develop a plan which identifies prevention strategies to reduce significant challenging behaviors which interfere with activities of daily living, social interaction or work. The plan will instruct on replacement skills and new ways to respond to the challenging behaviors
"Positive behavior support specialist" means an individual who; Provides evidence-based individualized interventions that assist a participant with acquisition or maintenance of skills for community living and behavioral intervention for the reduction of maladaptive behaviors
Required: master’s degree in a behavioral science with one year behavioral programming and direct service experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Counseling or any behavioral science degree. Training and support provided as well as supervision if required for licensure.
