We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Consultant to join our team. As a Behavior Consultant, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and their care providers to provide guidance and support. Your role will involve data collection, patient assessment, and the implementation of behavioral therapy techniques. Must have 2 or more years of experience in applied behavior analysis as well as a Bachelor's degree or higher.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with autism (with BCBA supervision) to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collect and analyze data to track progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy sessions to individuals, focusing on skill development and behavior management
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation, including patient records and progress reports
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field of autism treatment
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers on implementing behavior management strategies at home
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, special education)
- 2 or more years experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
- Familiarity with ABA terminology and documentation practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience making your own schedule
