Behavior One Autism Solutions is now hiring one Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct speech services delivered to our clients in Orange County.

The Speech-Language Pathologist would work with children ages 3 and under. Speech-Language Pathologists will implement treatment plans related to clients' speech and language. They work collaboratively with the client's clinical team and work one-on-one with clients in clinic and possible in home settings. The position collaborates with the client’s caregivers and the clinical team to develop and implement comprehensive and individualized intervention plans.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

The pay range for this position is $55-70 an hour, however pay is negotiable.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with application for Regional Center of Orange County Services
  • Coordinate with Regional Center Service Coordinators, clinical team, and other health care providers to implement treatment plans for problems such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, which encompasses session notes, timesheets, and various relevant clinical reports.
  • Evaluate hearing and/ or speech and language test results
  • Educate patients and family members about various communication techniques to cope with the impairment
  • Instruct clients with techniques for more effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading or voice improvement


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certified as a Speech Language Pathologist with a license certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association by state in which practicing and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience with ages 3 and under
  • Familiar with Regional Center of Orange County program (Knowledge writing proposals for Regional Center)
  • One year of related experience (monitoring and observing behavior; collecting and recording behavioral observations in a treatment setting; implementing behavior management plans; assisting with the administration and scoring of developmental assessments)

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong monitoring and active listening skills
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation
  • Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information
  • Collaborative with clients' clinical team


PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

Sessions will be done in-clinic but prefer applicants who are willing to drive to client's houses.
