Job Description
We seek experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to provide psychiatric services through comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments of mostly geriatric patients at various rehabilitation facilities, assisted living, and nursing homes. Responsibilities include:
- Prescribing or adjusting psychotropic medications
- Collaborating with multiple disciplines and ensuring continuity of care
- Knowledge of Medicare standards and documentation
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in communication with patients, families, and staff, as well as knowledge of mental health care delivery and interacting with other disciplines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- PA or NP degree from an accredited University
- Valid, full license and DEA# in the State
- Demonstrated experience in providing mental health services to the geriatric population (1 year preferred)
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines, standards of care, and documentation
Work Environment
This is a part-time position, offering flexible hours and autonomy. You will work on a variety of cases, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality care to geriatric patients.
