Job Summary
The Utilization Specialist is responsible for performing comprehensive audits of client charts to ensure compliance with Minnesota's 245G substance use disorder (SUD) program standards. Additionally, the specialist will gather and submit the required documentation for the 1115 SUD waiver program, supporting adherence to state and federal regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining program integrity, enhancing quality of care, and meeting reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Chart Auditing
Conduct detailed audits of client charts to ensure compliance with 245G Minnesota state requirements.
Collect, organize, and submit all necessary documentation required under the 1115 SUD waiver program.
Identify trends or recurring issues in chart audits and propose strategies for improvement.
Responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.
Participate in community and public relations activities as assigned.
Demonstrates the belief that addiction is a brain disease, not a moral failing.
Participate in and provide in-service training as required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies.
