GENERAL SUMMARY
The Assistant Program Director primarily aids the Program Director in the day-to-day operations of The BHN Family Center. The Assistant Program Director works closely with internal and external partners and may be expected to represent the agency at community and provider functions. They work collaboratively with clinical and administrative supervisors to assist with the operational and organizational functions of the program. The Assistant Program Director supports the operations of The BHN Family Center to help meet the defined mission and goals. They are familiar with all regulatory requirements of federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting bodies to help ensure compliance. They are responsible for helping with marketing and advocacy efforts. They may be assigned to oversee special projects as the Program Director deems necessary. On-call availability and supervisory expectations may be a requirement of the Assistant Program Director position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
- Provides direct supervision of recovery specialists, kitchen staff and drivers.
- Provides monthly individual staff supervision meetings and conducts monthly mandatory recovery specialist group meetings.
- Assist with scheduling staff meetings and typing minutes
- Prepares on-call schedule and is responsible as on-call supervisor one week per month.
- Initiates disciplinary actions when needed up to and including dismissal of personnel.
- Monitors staff training and ensures all required trainings are completed.
- Monitors the accuracy of all staff time sheets every week.
- Monitors coordination of patient admissions and discharges.
- Reviews IHR referrals for admission.
- Maintains oversight of ordering and inventorying all program supplies.
- Maintains oversight of medication room policies and procedures.
