GENERAL SUMMARY
The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the service provision of the individuals that receive services in residential group homes through case management, coordinating services, supervising Residential Support Specialist staff, and implementing ISP goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
- Initiates, supports, and ensures quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, and respect and dignity.
- Ensures overall health and well-being of individuals served by actively participating in Multidisciplinary Team meetings, chaired by the Clinical Team Leaders, accompanying individuals to medical appointments, and arranging needed follow-up.
- Oversees all aspects of medication treatment and administration, including preparing Health Care Provider Orders, Medication Administration Records, Current Medication Lists, Weekly MAP Checklists, Monthly MAP Checklists, Medication Occurrence Reports (MORS) and ensures corrective action required by a MAP Audit occurs.
- Provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed including serving as a member of the on-call team.
- Acts as a primary implementer of strategies to meet ISP goals.
- Takes necessary actions to protect individuals served in the event of an abuse/neglect complaint and completes all required follow up from internal and external investigations.
- Completes all documentation required within the electric health record.
- Reviews portions of the electronic health record prepared by supervisees in a thorough and timely manner.
- Completes program specific forms and required time-sensitive documents in a timely manner and ensures proper review before submission including Health Encounter Forms and Contract Reports.
- Completes health and medication-related documents as individually indicated and in accordance with BHN policy and MAP regulations.
- Updates and maintains electronic health record as needed.
- Prepares documentation for the ISP process including annual assessments, goals/objectives, support strategies, and progress summaries as required by BHN and DMH.
- Ensures communication occurs between staff, the program, and outside agencies including health care providers and pharmacies, and the program and families.
- Recognizes and reports program-specific safety and maintenance concerns and ensures property is safe and well maintained.
- Ensures that fire drills are conducted as required by the Safety Plan.
- Ensures that individuals served receive benefits management, including support to maintain Social Security, health insurance, food stamps, and housing subsidies.
- Follows agency policies with DMH Licensing and Certification requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct services that ensure health and safety, support growth, and promote independence of individuals served.
- Provides indirect services that document and support the provision of direct services to individuals served.
- Completes individually assigned program-specific responsibilities.
- Provide supervision and complete administrative duties to ensure individual health, safety, and well-being.
- Attends in-services, meetings and trainings as assigned and scheduled, keeps mandatory trainings up-to-date and monitors employee training completion.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years relevant experience required OR Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Requires a minimum of two years’ experience in human services.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license and a reliable car available for all working hours.
