Your role at BHSN:

As a Family Specialist at BHSN, you will coordinate the planning and treatment process for each childcare.

What your day might look like:

• Assisting with pre-placement process
• Oversee development of service and discharge plans with Foster Parents and others involved with the child's placement and treatment
• Create service plans and coordinate meeting of treatment team/service providers
• Evaluate treatment, parenting and care of the child and maintain case-specific documentation on each placement as required by contracting agencies and OCFS regulations
• Serves as primary contact for monitoring/supervisor to Treatment Foster Parents

Your skills and qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, special education, counseling or related human service field is required. Experience may substitute for field of study but not for minimum degree requirement.
• Minimum two years' experience in providing services to children and families
• Excellent interpersonal communication and sound writing skills are essential.
• Valid NYS Driver's License required for travel
• Flexibility in work hours/days
