We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to join our growing behavioral health organization. This role is essential in supporting strategic financial planning across multiple departments and programs, including clinical services, community outreach, case management, and administrative operations. The FP&A Specialist will provide financial insights to inform leadership decisions, optimize resource allocation, and ensure sustainability across funding streams, including government grants, and insurance reimbursements.
- Assist in development and maintenance of annual budgets and rolling forecasts across departments and service lines.
- Contract Development
- Analyze departmental financial performance, identifying trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, program expansion, and grant applications.
- Work with Commercial Insurance carriers to insure accurate and maximum reimbursement.
- Provide timely variance analysis between budget, actuals, and forecasts, including program-specific reporting.
- Partner with department heads and program managers to align financial planning with operational goals and funding requirements.
- Work with program leaders to build and maintain KPI dashboards.
- Assist with long-term financial planning, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario modeling for new or expanding behavioral health services.
- Contribute to process improvements for financial planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of financial experience, ideally in healthcare, nonprofit, or behavioral health settings.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience working with government funding, grants, or insurance-based revenue models is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus).
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting dashboards is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff across departments.
