Your role at BHSN:

Provides crisis intervention in the community and/or office setting as a member of the mobile crisis team including risk assessments, brief interventions, care management and individual/family psychotherapy to individuals potentially in crisis.

What your day might look like:

• Provide phone, walk in, and mobile crisis intervention services including comprehensive risk assessment, individual/family therapy to individuals in crisis to restore safety to the individual and the community
• Respond as a member of a mobile crisis team to individuals & families within the region, utilizing agency vehicles, co responding with first responders, or personal vehicles as needed
• Completing open access intakes, treatment planning, individual, family and group clinic-based services
• Provide brief cognitive behavior therapy, psychoeducation, skills training and care management in an individual/group/family setting to recipients
• Thorough understanding of and compliance with OMH regulations regarding clinic treatment, including but not limited to, 14 CFR NY 599 and applicable OMH standards of care and OMH Mobile Crisis Guidance is required
• Additional duties as assigned

Your skills and qualifications:

• NYS LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R licensure is required
• Ability to work with adults who have serious and persistent mental illness
• Ability to work afternoon and evening hours required
• Familiarity with databases and electronic health record systems preferred
• Valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required
