Job Title : Behavior Technician (BT)
Position Summary :
The Behavior Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. The BT will collect data on programs and assist the BCBA and / or BCaBA with clinical assessments as needed, directly.

Minimum Qualifications :
Education, Training, and Experience :
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, special education, Speech, Counseling or related field preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in working with children, adolescents, and / or adults with special needs preferred
Knowledge of :

Implement 1 : 1 ABA interventions programs to children in their home, clinic, or school settingProvide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and / or group sessionsRun skill acquisition programs with clients using Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior AnalysisComplete daily documentation and maintain client's program bookWork with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and / or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts to implement individualized treatment plansCollect data and graph data as instructed using technological programs, such as Microsoft Excel or behavioral software (e.g., Lauris Online)Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clientsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societiesMaintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations ariseAny other job duties as assigned by the supervisor and other administratorAdditional Job Requirements :
Attend and successfully complete the following prior to beginning job (Failure to successfully complete these trainings can jeopardize the ability to be employed at the agency) :New staff orientationHandle with Care (Crisis Intervention Training) program course offered by the agency and renew certification annuallyFirst Aid / CPR / AED training provided by the agency and renew certifications as neededHIPAA and Confidentiality TrainingA 40-hour training by our agency on Applied Behavior Analysis that is based upon the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's Registered Behavioral Technician Task List, successfully complete the Registered Behavioral Technician Competency Assessment, and pass the RBT examination to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).Abide by the RBT Ethics CodeEmployee signature below constitutes employee's understanding of the requirements, essential functions and duties of the position.
